2009 STOMP Getai Award - 歌台大奖

THE STOMP Getai Awards 歌台大奖 held on 7th July 2009, was a blast with a 3000 over turnout at Kreta Ayer Square.

This is the third year that social networking and citizen journalism website STOMP is hosting the event, where it honours the talent of the best and most popular Getai 歌台 singers in Singapore.

There are two parts to the Awards - an award presented to the People's Choice Awards 10 most popular performers 十大民选最受欢迎艺人奖 voted by the public and another 10 Special Awards recognising different aspects of the craft of getai 歌台 singing.

The highlights of the show were the presentation of the Best Male and Female Singers Awards 最佳男/女歌手奖 as well as the comedic bantering between the winners of the Pair of Hosts with the Best Chemistry 最佳超人气司仪组合奖, Zhong Yao Nan (Ah Nan) 钟耀南 (阿南) and Wang Lei 王雷.

The event also honours two getai greats for the first time, the late Chen Jin Lang 陈金浪 (已故) and Lin Li 林利 (已故) with Lifetime Achievement Awards 终身成就奖.
